Pinot Noir Harvest & Picnic

NOTE:  HARVEST UPDATE - PINOT NOIR
Mother Nature is FICKLE
The early ripening Pinot Noir did just that this year - Jeff Murphy, winemaker and the man who determines WHEN we pick - recommended picking on August 31st.  The hot and very wet weather we have been experiencing made the grapes ripen much more quickly than last year - and the rains provided the perfect situation for splitting grapes and deterioration in quality - so an early harvest prevented that.   We will be refunding reservations by all who made them for September 23rd -Join us for an Estate Harvest and Picnic. Pick Pinot Noir grapes in the morning and then enjoy a picnic lunch, weather permitting.   Each picker will also receive a certificate for a bottle of this limited, hand-picked vintage of 2018 Pinot Noir signed by the winemaker. Release date to be determined.  

Schedule:
9:00am - Arrive at the winery. Drive to our Pinot Vineyard. Register & pick up clippers. Have a coffee and a croissant!
10:00am - Pick grapes!
12:00 Noon - Enjoy a Harvest Picnic. We'll have tables set up on the ridge.  The menu includes Perrier, Freelings Creek Pinot Noir & other wines, Cheese & Charcuterie Board, Cold Tomato Soup Shots, and main course (TBD), Baguettes, and Apple Tart.

NOTE on Attire: 
Comfortable walking shoes and shorts or jeans; remember your hats and sun-screen if a sunny day!

Reservations and Tickets:
Make reservations online or by calling the winery at 716-326-2191. This event is limited to 30 "pickers".  Advance tickets: $30.00 per person.  Online tickets are not available within 24 hours of the event. In this case, please call the winery to see if tickets are still available.
