Two days ago, here in Western New York, we enjoyed a bright sunny afternoon which encouraged us to break out the cross-country skis for the first time this winter. It wasn't, however, cold enough for the ice wine harvest. Here's a photo of the pond, which we use for irrigation, not yet frozen either!

NOW ON THE SHELVES It's been well over a year since Winemaker Jeff Murphy began the special aging of two new limited-vintage products: Old Oak Ruby and Old Oak Gold. These are both fortified wines (18% alcohol), similar to our Ruby Port and to our Cream Sherry, but aged in bourbon barrels for over a year; the Ruby indoors, and the Sherry outdoors.
