INTERNATIONAL RIESLING DAY AWARD NEWS COMING
It makes a lot of sense for Johnson Estate to celebrate International Riesling Day (March 13th) in 2024. Why? Because we'll soon be announcing some good news about another award for one of our Rieslings! These wines are now an integral part of the Estate's portfolio - our vineyards were planted in 2008 on the ancient shores of Lake Erie (Lake Whittlesey, 740 feet above sea level). The shale and slate soils close to the surface paired with the "3309" root stock on the Riesling vines can dive deep into this "terroir" to make world-class Riesling wines as confirmed by the various awards that they have earned.

FOUR-BOTTLE RIESLING COLLECTION Here's the one-click to order all four bottles. Many people think of Riesling as a sweet wine - but it is one of the most versatile grapes that makes excellent wines which range from "cracker dry" to very sweet. Thus, they can be paired with a variety of foods and please different palates. Each of our Rieslings has a different "residual sugar" or level of sweetness - ranging from very dry to dessert-wine sweet. These vintages are a perfect example of our winery's ability to produce high quality wines - from dry to sweet.
