LAST OF THE MAY WINE
As we recently reported to our Wine Club members, we are down to the last few cases of our truly extraordinary 2023 release of May Wine, and there won't be any more until the Spring of 2024. If you've never tried this one-of-a-kind sparkling wine, don't miss your chance.
First released in the spring of 2016, Johnson Estate’s May Wine is a semi-dry (residual sugar of 2.5%) and bubbly wine made from Vidal Blanc grapes and delicately flavored with an infusion of sweet woodruff that grows right here on the Estate.
Winemaker Jeff Murphy was inspired by Germany's annual celebration of May Day where the festivities include "MaiWein" or wine punch, including one that features white wine, strawberries, and the shade-loving dried herb, sweet woodruff.
CHAMBOURCIN: NEW AWARD-WINNING VINTAGE
We're rolling out our newest vintage of Chambourcin that was just named Best Buy in the hybrid reds category and awarded 94 points by the Beverage Testing Institute. This dry, well-balanced red has rich berry flavors and a fruity finish that is perfect for summer. Or, as the Beverage Testing Institute puts it, "A superb, meaty, Zinfandel-like Chambourcin with generous waves of ripe fruit that carry you away to a better day."
Also, keep an eye on your inbox as our cellar crew starts bottling a new vintage of Black Locust Dry Riesling; aged eight months in European Black Locust acacia barrels for a light, special toasted flavor.

Our next Club collection will start shipping the week of September 11th. For those of you who are picking up your quarterly order at the winery, start planning your visit for the weekend of September 9th and 10th. We are hard at work deciding how to treat our Club Members to something special during pickup weekend.
Harvest will be underway and we will be offering Great Grapes Walks on the weekends. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the vineyards and fill a basket with grapes to take with you! Tickets (available soon) also include a $10 voucher for Flight - our outdoor dining venue.
Other Club benefits that you can take advantage of at the winery are complimentary tastings for you and up to three guests, a 10% discount on online and Tasting Room purchases, AND a 10% discount on your dining experience at Flight! Speaking of which...
FLIGHT! NOW OPENOur outoor dining venue, Flight, is now open! We serve flights of wine, wines by the glass, and expertly paired cheese & charcuterie boards among the vines. Did you know? Flight is open Thursdays through Saturdays, 11AM until 5PM and Sundays 11AM until 3PM. We will remain open through Columbus Day weekend - weather permitting.
