Black Locust Reserve Dry Riesling

Crisp, with a special minerality and aromas of peach and pineapple.  Aged eight months in European Black Locust or acacia barrels for a light, special toasted flavor.  December 2017:  Awarded SILVER medal, 89 Points, Tastings.com.

Emerald straw color. Fruity, floral aromas of ripe white peach, fresh apricot, cherry blossom, honeysuckle, and sweet almond oil with a satiny, vibrant, bone-dry medium body and a sleek, layered, medium-length shale, tart lemon gelee, and dewy grass finish with fine, fruit tannins and no oak. A very dry, complex riesling with aging potential.

Pairs well with traditional dry wine foods, including cheeses such as Parmesan.  Lovely with seafood - crab and shrimp - as well as fish and poultry.
