Johnson Estate began planting Riesling vines, its first European Classic vinifera grapes, in 2008. Our Pinot Noir vineyards were planted in 2012 after Owner Fred Johnson and Winemaker Jeff Murphy did research and planted three Pinot Noir clones, each with different and distinctive grape characteristics. Today, Johnson Estate produces three wines from these grapes - a traditional Germanic Pinot Noir, Dry Rosé of Pinot Noir, and our relatively new Brut. And last week, we released our most recent vintage of Pinot Noir.

SPARKLING SUNDAYS
 
  Sparkling Sundays: On Sundays, we'll have a different sparkling cocktail for that perfect Sunday moment of relaxation. Enjoy a glass in our historic tasting room at the winery - or make it at home - we'll be posting the recipes soon. On Sundays in February, we are featuring a cocktail called "Long Live the Queen" - made with The Queen's Catawba.

LEWC - WINE & CHOCOLATE MONTH

Just five more days of LEWC's month-long Wine & Chocolate Event. Yes. You may still purchase tickets for this event - online - and visit the participating wineries according to your schedule. Johnson Estate will be pairing Ruby Dry Rosé (or your choice of The Queen's Catawba or Maple Liqueur) with Estate-made Austrian Chocolate Hazelnuts. Tickets are on sale here.
