LABOR DAY ANNIVERSARIES?
The winery's founder, Frederick Johnson Sr. (1921-1998), would have been 100 years old on Sunday, September 5th. The Tasting Room and old barn are now 100 years old and the farmhouse is 200 years old. And his winery, which he established in 1961, is celebrating 60 years this year. So, yes, we're celebrating multiple anniversaries!

We think that Fred Sr. would be proud to see the vineyards loaded with fruit, ready fo r the coming harvest. And in the century-old Tasting Room, formerly his father's apple cold storage facility, he'd be proud to see over forty award-winning wines on the shelves.

And on those shelves is our award-winning Founders' Red, named for Fred Sr. and his father. This wine is made from a little Pinot Noir and Fred Sr.'s favorite Chancellor grapes, which are planted on the site of his father's favorite cherry orchard. FLIGHT, our new outdoor wine & food pairings location with beautiful vineyard vistas, permits you to enjoy the sights and smells of harvest while savoring flights of wine, wines by the glass, and curated cheese & charcuterie boards which include seasonal fruits, nuts, crisps, and more! FLIGHT will be open well into October (weather permitting).
P.S. The name FLIGHT was inspired by Fred Sr. and Jr.'s love of flying and this location provides flights of wines in an outdoor setting which can provide its own flights of fancy!
