6th Annual Alumni Wine Collection

Dear //FirstName//,
Well, we first wrote this email on Monday - but received new information today which required us to amend it accordingly!

First, we are happy to share with you, our Cornell friends, the news that Cornell Alumni Affairs selected Johnson Estate's Sparkling Traminette to be included in their 2023 Alumni Wine Collection!  We are delighted to support our alma mater's annual "wine initiative"!.

Today, just as I was preparing to send this email to you, we learned that our Sparkling Traminette, one of the four wines in the
2023 Alumni Wine Collection, was all sold out. In just three days!  Johnson Estate's prosecco-like Sparkling Traminette is the first sparkling wine to be included in the annual collection of wines by the Cornell Alumni Affairs and they conservatively requested twenty-five cases - which sold more quickly than expected.

So, while it's not a perfect fix, we want to let you know that our traditional-label Sparkling Traminette is available for purchase on Johnson Estate's website.

To learn more about this year’s winning wineries and artists, check out their stories here and be sure to get the limited-edition wines - there are two reds and one white still available.

Warm Regards,
Fred Johnson ('75 & MBA '77) & Jennifer (MBA '79)

It's easy to write that title, but it's challenging to summarize a 100+ year old story that begins with an orphan from England who entered Cornell in the fall of 1895 after immigrating from Canada. The Cornell Alumni Magazine does it well in this article:
"It Began with a Cornellian". which is also found on our blog
