AT THE ESTATE It is difficult to believe that it is now October.
Harvest is well underway and the harvest schedule this week was crammed with one variety after another including Chardonnay, Maréchal Foch, and Chancellor. Today we are havesting Riesling.
But the sun is shining, making it nice weather not only for the team working in the vineyards and on the press deck but for those who would like to enjoy a flight of wine and a cheese and charcuterie board outside. FLIGHT, our new outdoors venue, will continue to be open this month - weather permitting:
Thursdays - Saturdays, 11am to 5pm and Sundays, 11am to 3pm.
The FLIGHT menu features flights of favorite wines (over a dozen offered by the glass as well) plus curated cheese and charcuterie boards featuring seasonal and local fruits, nuts, and other tasty treats to pair with those wines. Here's ourmenuand we hope that you are able to join us soon!

TIME FOR RED & WHITE IPOCRAS
Mulled/spiced wines for fall! During this 60th anniversary year, our favorite fall wines - Red and White Ipocras - get some attention for they were the inspiration of the winery's founder, Fred Johnson. They were created to celebrate the commissioning of the Sea Lion, an authentic replica of a 16th century merchant ship which was built on Chautauqua Lake in Mayville, New York. We'll have hot apple cider to make a sweet warm treat both in the Tasting Room and at FLIGHT.
