Called Founders' Red to honor Fred's father, who was born one-hundred years ago in 1921 and who founded the winery in 1961, and Fred's grandfather, who built the 1920 apple cold-storage building that now serves as our Tasting Room. Chancellor grapes were Fred's father's favorite wine grapes and we now grow them
on his grandfather's favorite orchard site.
