Four Sparkling Wines for Your Celebrations

RED WINE   WHITE WINE   GIFT IDEAS   HOLIDAY COLLECTIONS

Dear //FirstName//,
"Tis the season for sparkling wines". New Year's is coming and we have four award-winning sparkling wines from dry to sweet for you to share with your friends and family. And do remember that our free case shipping continues until December 31st.
Last month, on one of his bi-annual trips to Europe, our Winemaker Jeff Murphy noted that sparkling wines continue to be and are ever more popular in Europe and that they are now taking off in the US where they are becoming more appreciated as "every weekend" wines.

Here's an effervescent toast to each of you and your families!

THAT SWEET PAIRING:
QUEEN'S CATAWBA & VANILLA TWIST COOKIES

Here's the that cookie recipe I promised. Jennifer's family has made these cookies for decades during the Christmas celebrations. Winemaker Jeff did a test taste last week to recommend that they be paired with The Queen's Catawba.

Liebestropfchen came in "second".

IN THE VINEYARDS: "SECOND" HARVEST - ICE WINE
At the moment, Fred is sipping away at our Founders' Red and contemplating an ice wine harvest this coming Saturday morning. That is,if it is not too blizzardy; wind gusts are forecast at over 50 mph and dawn temperatures in the single digits.  If the dire weather forecast continues, we’ll shift from harvest on Christmas Eve morning to Boxing Day (December 26th) by which time the winds are supposed to have calmed a bit. Jennifer’s black bean soup, cornbread, and apple cobbler will be ready for all hands after the harvest.
