ICE WINES   RED WINES    GIFT IDEAS    WINE CLUB

Hello /FirstName/,
So why does ice wine make a nice gift? Well, it's relatively rare (only produced in wine regions with cold winters like ours) and it's relatively expensive (since frozen grapes don't have that much juice). Good ice wines, like ours, have a nice balance of acidity and sweetness, along with a delicious set of complex flavors. While mostly considered a dessert wine, ice wines can also complement savory foods such as Peking duck or chicken liver paté. So, well, ice wines are "special"!

Made from grapes already frozen by Mother Nature (
learn more here), Johnson Estate's award-winning Vidal Blanc Ice Wine and Chambourcin Ice Wine have been produced at the winery for over twenty years.

With Christmas approaching, we want to make your gifting easier - order two bottles of ice wine and the shipping is on us (use the shipping code of GOODNEIGHBORICE).  Or if you like, fill that six or twelve-bottle box with your other favorite wines and our Good Neighbor Shipping Program will still apply - that means that Johnson Estate pays for the shipping. Remember that we have gift cards to include your preferred message.

It's best to place orders that you would like shipped for Christmas by December 19th (although some locations in OH, PA, and NY are just one-two day deliveries).

Our very best wishes for the holidays -
Jennifer & Fred Johnson & the team at Johnson Estate

WE CAN HELP -
ORDER ONLINE OR BY PHONE

Our website's is pretty easy to use - but if you have any questions, you are welcome to call us. If you prefer, we are also happy to take your order by telephone (716-326-2191).

As you may know, we have over forty award-winning wines in our portfolio and they have a broad range from dry to sweet. Fred's father used to say that we have wines for every palate. So, if it seems overwhelming, do call us - we're here to help.

RED WINES FOR YOUR TABLE OR CELLAR
There was indeed frost on the ground here in WNY today. That always makes me think of red wine (or mulled ones!) and food to go with them. Like beef burgundy or Coq au Vin - good dinner choices for cold weather!

Red wines also make great gifts; and the dry ones can be cellared for future enjoyment. Right now, Jennifer's favorite is our
Cabernet Sauvignon; rich but smooth. Our Founders' Red, named for Johnson Estate's forebears, is also a good choice and is a little bit more fruit forward and is a wine that ages well. Order our Freelings Creek Reserve Reds for our cellar or theirs!

HOLIDAY COOKIE TOUR
In Westfield & Johnson Estate

December 17, 11am-4pm
Westfield might be a small town, but there are some cool shops to visit - Rosie's Workshop, antique stores, and more - perfect for Christmas shopping, especially when free cookies are offered up and down Main Street. Johnson Estate will be joining the  party - pairing Vanilla Twist Cookies with The Queen's Catawba.

DID YOU KNOW?
We have LOTS of Gift Ideas - which pair wine with small food pairings (or big ones in the case of Cheese & Charcuterie Boards).  And there is also our Winemaker's   Collections, "one-click" holiday wines, selected just for the season. Or  consider our customizable Wine Club memberships which permits your gift recipients to choose their favorite wines each quarter.

STILL CAN'T DECIDE?  SOMETHING EXPERIENTIAL?
That's what's nice about GIFT CERTIFICATESYour recipient may utilize it online or in the winery and they may be used for vineyard walks, winemaker's dinners, as well as wine and merchandize.
